The Future is Real: The OneTrack App Launch

Why launch a running app in a newsagents? Because technology was never the point.
Last week we brought together media, coaches and creative trailblazers to celebrate the launch of the OneTrack app — not with a tech demo, but with real conversations about coaching, connection and the future of movement.

The setting was Shreeji News on Chiltern Street, a much-loved Marylebone institution filled with newspapers, niche zines and strong coffee. It was the perfect backdrop: proudly offline, reassuringly human.
Guests from Vogue, Runner’s World, Sunday Times Style, Financial Times HTSI and the wider worlds of fashion, sport and culture gathered for Trailblazer 01: The Future Is Real — an invitation-only panel exploring what happens when performance and wellbeing collide with AI and automation.
Rather than talk specs and features, we talked ideas.
Luxury journalist Rory FH Smith moderated an honest, evidence-led discussion with Renee McGregor (sports dietician), Ben Burch (ultra-runner and CTO of OneTrack) and Anthony Fletcher, sports scientist and OneTrack CEO. The theme was simple: how do we preserve expertise, empathy and individuality in an increasingly automated fitness world?
The message was clear. Technology should empower coaches — not replace them.
From London the group travelled north in Land Rover Discoveries to Restaries in Suffolk, a beautiful new farm stay by Gem Boner (former Soho House director). After torrential rain earlier in the week, the skies cleared — perfect conditions for what came next.
Guests settled in, met the resident alpacas (undeniable stars of the weekend), and reconvened for dinner prepared by Michelin-starred chef Rowen Halstead — formerly of Chiltern Firehouse, Midsummer House and Dabbous.
The following morning, conversation turned into movement.
A social trail run took the group across heathland and forest paths starting and ending at Dunwich beach. The brave finished with a bone-chilling dip in the North Sea, followed swiftly by the welcome warmth of the Suffolk Sauna Co and restorative cacao and collagen hot chocolate by Ancient + Brave.
What made the weekend special wasn’t just the locations or the experiences — it was the mix of people. Instead of the usual press-trip roster, we brought together a wider circle of interesting voices from sport, music, business, fashion and media. New connections were made. Ideas were shared. Energy was high.
Trailblazer 01 marked more than the launch of an app. It was the beginning of a conversation about what we choose to optimise for as technology reshapes the way we move.
At OneTrack, we choose real coaching. Real connection. Real people.
Welcome to the Trailblazer series.
