VO2 Max Tests are £150 and can be purchased individually or as part of a Membership Subscription.

The VO2 Max Test is a cutting-edge fitness assessment that measures the maximum volume of oxygen your body can utilise during intense exercise. A higher VO2 max correlates with better endurance and the ability to sustain higher intensities for longer periods. This is crucial for improving race times and overall stamina. By analysing your oxygen consumption, this test provides a precise indicator of your cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance. Conducted in a controlled environment using specialized equipment, the VO2 Max Test involves progressively increasing exercise intensity while monitoring your respiratory and cardiovascular responses. Key Details Get ready to push your limits! During a VO2 Max Test, you'll start with a warm-up to get your muscles ready. Then, you’ll exercise on a treadmill or stationary bike, with intensity gradually increasing. You'll wear a mask to measure your oxygen intake and carbon dioxide output while your heart rate is closely monitored. Expect to go all out until you reach your maximum effort – that's when we capture the most accurate data about your aerobic capacity. It's a challenging but incredibly insightful process, revealing valuable information about your fitness level and potential. Next Steps Understanding your VO2 Max allows you to tailor your training programme to your specific fitness level. By knowing your aerobic capacity, you can set appropriate intensity zones for workouts, enhancing your efficiency and performance. On taking another VO2 Max Test, we’ll be able to monitor progress and check your training strategy is working.
