About The Event

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Maddie is a Registered Dietitian and professional runner located in Boulder, Colorado. She went to the University of Colorado where she walked on to the track and cross country team. After working with a dietitian to adjust her approach to fueling, she began to see drastic improvements in her performance and ultimately became an All-American (honorific title given to outstanding U.S. athletes). She was inspired to get her Master's in Nutritional Sciences and become a Registered Dietitian so she could work with athletes and help them learn how to use nutrition as a tool for success. Now, she work's with athletes of all levels through my sports nutrition consulting business, Fueling Forward, and run for Team Boss in Boulder, CO with the goal of running in the Olympic Trials this year.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Between the internet and social media, nutrition has become over complicated and confusing. With all of the conflicting information out there, it's hard for anyone, let alone athletes, to find the best approach to fueling.

In this workshop, Maddie will be answering some of the most common nutrition questions she gets asked by runners. She'll discuss pre/post workout fueling, nutrient needs for runners, how to fuel during long sessions, nutrition for optimizing recovery, proper hydration and more. Her goal is to help simplify sports nutrition and help clarify common misconceptions so making performance friendly choices becomes easy and sustainable!
